The VUE apartments in Tempe

The Vue on 922 E Apache BLVD is located right across the street from ASU campus. The Vue is luxury student living, and is within walking distance to class, many restaurants, bars, gas stations, and even Safeway. The thing I loved when I lived at the VUE was location, location, location. If I had to pick out one outstanding feature about the VUE it would be its location. The Vue features everything from 1-bedroom lofts, to 5 bedroom apartments. At the Vue, the residents live on floors 3-11. The Vue offers a list of amenities. The pool, gym, sauna, volleyball court, and grills are all located on the 4th floor. On the ground level, Sal’s pizza is a great place to grab a bite to eat. They will even deliver it up to your room. Also located on the ground level they have a bicycle shop, and a frozen yogurt store.

The Vue is a big party spot on any given day of the week. Almost anytime of the day you can hear people blasting music, and partying. The walls of the Vue are not sound proof at the LEAST. You can hear every noise, every sound, through the bedroom walls of the Vue. The doors to the bedrooms are also very thin, and don’t block sound at all. In fact, the doors are so thin; they provide almost no protection if someone wanted to get into the room. The bedrooms in the Vue are small. They have just enough room for a bed, a desk, and a small closet. There are only a few rooms that have a bathroom attached to the bedroom; otherwise you’ll be sharing a bathroom.

The apartment comes furnished as well. They provide a flat screen TV, two couches, 3-4 stools, a bed, and a desk. The couches were actually really nice, and the provided more than enough room to sit on. The flat screen TV was also really nice as well, and it even came with all the wires hidden behind the wall. Each apartment has an enormous balcony, most stretch the entire length of the apartment. Depending on the floor plan some rooms have an island, or bar area where they provide stools to sit on. There is plenty of cabinet space, and plenty of refrigerator space for everyone. The sink is divided into two, one side with a garbage disposal, and the other side with a normal drain. The faucet pulls out from the sink, which is really nice while washing dishes, or filling up water filters. All of the appliances are high quality, and the stove is of course electric.

The Vue, just like many other apartments, is really low on visitor parking. The Vue loves towing cars from its property, pretty much just like everywhere else in Tempe. The Vue also charges you for a parking space, which I think is a little outrageous considering the amount of money you already spend to live there. On the weekends, the Vue is not much different than a nightclub to get into. They have security down at the door, and any visitor needs an ID, and to be on the list, in order to be let in. This is really frustrating some times, and it can get quite hectic on a busy Friday night. Also, there is a heavy police and security presence. You need to be responsible, and can’t have open containers in the hallways. However, this simple rule seems to be too much for some kids to handle, and they face heavy fines from the Tempe P.D.

The Vue has its ups, and downs, just like many other Tempe student apartments. I can honestly say that the Vue has the best location in Tempe. It is within walking distance of so many places. The balconies at the Vue are also the best in town, you won’t be able to find a bigger balcony elsewhere. The furniture the Vue comes with is also pretty nice. The couch is great, and very comfortable. If thin walls, sharing a bathroom, and having people party around you all the time doesn’t seem to bother you, this is definitely the place to live. The good does seem to outweigh the bad in my opinion, and I would consider living there again in the future!
